The MigMatic Ex-S is a compact, fully enclosed wire feeder designed for field use and demanding environments. With a height of less than 400 mm, it is suitable for use in confined and hard-to-reach areas. It is supplied with two integrated handles (one rated for crane use) and a third lifting point, and can be fitted with a wheel kit for increased mobility. The wire feeder features a robust IC cable strain relief with quick connections requiring no tools, an optional built-in gas flow meter, and protective stripes on the side panels. It supports MIG (GMAW), flux-cored (FCAW) and metal-cored (MCAW) processes, and is compatible with the MigMatic S400i, MigMatic MP S400iP, MigMatic S500i and MigMatic MP S500iP power sources. Typical applications include shipbuilding, construction, heavy manufacturing and rental. Wire feed speed is 1.5–20 m/min, supporting wire diameters from 0.6 to 1.8 mm with a maximum spool weight of 15 kg.
