How Kraemer AS processes personal data when you use our website and get in touch with us.
Data controller

What data we collect
Contact form: When you send us an enquiry or quote request, we process your name, email address, message and any products you have added to the request. Technical data: Our hosting provider stores standard server and security logs (including IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and available. Local choices: The contents of your quote list and an in-progress configurator layout are stored only locally in your browser (localStorage). They are not sent to us and are not used for tracking. Your language is not stored – it follows the address of the page you are on.
Purpose and legal basis
We process the data to respond to enquiries and provide quotes. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract and our legitimate interest in following up requests (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). Operation and security of the website are based on legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f)).
Data processors
We use external providers that process personal data on our behalf under data processing agreements: • Microsoft 365 – email and communication • Google Firebase – hosting, database and admin sign-in We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone other than the processors named above unless we are legally required to.
Retention
We keep enquiries for as long as necessary to follow up on them, normally up to 12 months after the last contact. If an enquiry leads to a customer relationship, we keep the data for as long as that relationship lasts. Accounting documents are kept in accordance with the Norwegian Bookkeeping Act (5 years).
Cookies
We do not use cookies for tracking or analytics. The site only stores functional choices – your quote list and an in-progress configurator layout – locally in your browser. The language is decided by the address of the page you are on, and is not stored.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase the data we hold about you, and to request restriction of or object to the processing. Contact us at paul@kraemertools.no and we will help you. If you believe we process personal data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (datatilsynet.no).
