Do you miss the good, old, green oil from Pennsylvania? Brands like Pennzoil and Quaker State used this base oil in many well-regarded products. The oil fields in Pennsylvania actually ran dry many years ago, but new extraction technology has made it possible to squeeze out a little more from the ground in the state. Driven HR6 Full Synthetic Oil, 10W-40

The Driven HR series is the perfect choice for many classic road and competition cars. The products in this series contain enough ZDDP to protect mechanical valve lifters with spring pressures up to 30% higher than standard. The oil is designed to be changed after approximately 12,500 km. The HR oils have a unique anti-corrosion package that protects engines that are started infrequently, eliminates the harmful effects of dry starts, and they also contain an ethanol-neutralizing additive to combat internal rust corrosion. If the oil is used for racing or track days: Change the oil if it starts to turn black, as this usually indicates that fuel has interacted with the oil. Racing places increased stress on the oil. Driven LS30 5W-30 for Chevrolet LS engines

Driven oil has what modern oils lack! Today's requirements for long service intervals and low emissions have resulted in modern oils containing large amounts of detergents to avoid coking and deposits. This has come at the expense of the ZDDP content in the oils. ZDDP (simply put, zinc) is absolutely essential to minimize wear and the risk of engine failure in high-performance engines. But spending money on ZDDP additives won't help, as the detergents in the engine counteract zinc's lubricating effect. Driven LS30 is made specifically for Chevrolet's LS engines.
