The gear oil can be used in quick-change differential housings, in drag racing applications, Champ Car and GP2 gearboxes, NHRA Pro Stock, Daytona Prototypes and rear mounted GT gearboxes. The Driven HR series is the perfect choice for many classic road and competition cars. The products in this series contain enough ZDDP to protect mechanical valve lifters with spring pressures up to 30% higher than standard. The oil is designed to be changed after approximately 12,500 km. The HR oils have a unique anti-corrosion package that protects engines that are started infrequently, eliminates the harmful effects of dry starts, and they also contain an ethanol-neutralizing additive to combat internal rust corrosion. If the oil is used for racing or track days: Change the oil if it starts to turn black, as this usually indicates that fuel has interacted with the oil. Racing places increased stress on the oil.
