Hylomar® M (Light, Medium, Heavy) – Universal Jointing Compound
Hylomar M is a non-hardening, non-setting jointing and gasket compound resistant to a wide range of fluids and gases, including industrial fluids, oils, gasoline, kerosene, water/methanol and water/glycol mixtures, and turbine and piston engine combustion products. The product is dichloromethane free. Available in three viscosity grades (light, medium, heavy), it is supplied in pack sizes ranging from a 40 ml tube to a 1 litre tin. It can be used with or without a gasket on close-fitting metal and plastic components and exhibits thixotropic properties suitable for vertical surfaces and underside joints. Typical applications include inlet manifolds, timing case covers, gearboxes, thread sealing, flat machined surfaces, oil and water pumps, cylinder head gaskets, and gas turbines. Operating temperature range: -50 °C to +250 °C.
